Amol Palekar honoured with META Lifetime Achievement award 2026 for Theatre excellence

Veteran actor and filmmaker Amol Palekar has been announced as the recipient of the META Lifetime Achievement Award 2026 at the Mahindra Excellence in Theatre Awards (META) in New Delhi. Amol Palekar has made a remarkable contribution to Indian theater by experimenting with new performance formats and launching theatre productions in areas like parks, terraces, and garages. He will receive the honour during the 21st edition of the Mahindra Excellence in Theatre awards, which is slated to held from March 19 to March 25, 2026.
