Andre Russell has announced his retirement from IPL and is set to join KKR coaching staff as their new “power coach” for the 2026 edition.
Andre Russel, one of the valuable all-rounders in the Indian Premier League, has officially announced his retirement from IPL after 140 matches, ending a 10-year-long association with the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). The decision came just before the IPL 2026 mini auction, which is scheduled to take place in Abu Dhabi on December 16. The 37-year-old T20 legend will now join KKR’s supporting staff as their new “power coach” ahead of the 2026 edition.
