Anil Kumble has been appointed as the ambassador of the Karnataka State Forest Department and Wildlife Conservation for a social purpose, without receiving any remuneration.
Anil Kumble will raise awareness about forest conservation, afforestation, tree preservation, and wildlife protection, supporting the development and welfare of Forest Department frontline staff.
Kumble is a known wildlife enthusiast and photographer who has previously served as Vice-Chairman of the Karnataka Wildlife Board.
The appointment aims to promote sustainable environmental practices, engage citizens through outreach and social media campaigns, and protect flora and fauna in Karnataka.
Kumble has expressed gratitude for the appointment and has pledged to continue his work towards creating awareness about the state's biodiversity and supporting wildlife conservation efforts
