Bank of Baroda Enhances International Features on bob ePay UPI App

Bank of Baroda has indeed introduced three new international features in its UPI app, bob ePay.

• Global QR Code Payments: Bank of Baroda customers can now make QR code-based payments to international merchants directly from their Indian bank account in eight countries, including:

• Countries: Mauritius, Singapore, UAE, USA, France, Sri Lanka, Nepal, and Bhutan

• How it works: Customers can use the bob ePay app to scan QR codes and make payments, with transaction amounts displayed in both local currency and Indian Rupees, along with applicable exchange rates and charges.

• Real-time Remittances from Singapore: Bank of Baroda customers in India can now receive 24x7 real-time remittances from Singapore residents through the bob ePay app.

• How it works: Senders in Singapore can transfer money in Singapore Dollars to Bank of Baroda customers in India by entering the recipient's UPI ID/VPA. The amount is credited directly to the recipient's UPI-linked bank account in Indian Rupees.

• Transaction Limit: ₹1 lakh per transaction and per day, same as the domestic UPI limit.

• NRI Account Linking: NRI customers can now link their NRE/NRO accounts to the bob ePay app using a domestic mobile number and make seamless UPI payments.

• Benefits: NRIs can send and receive money through UPI, make peer-to-peer transfers, and conduct merchant transactions with complete transparency on exchange rates and applicable fees ¹.
