India’s first hydrogen-powered train is set to be introduced on the Jind-Sonipat route in Haryana with the aim of building sustainable rail transport in India.
India is ready to welcome its first hydrogen-powered train in Haryana, marking a significant step towards developing clean rail transport in India. The train, which will run on the Jind-Sonipat route, is currently in the last stages of commissioning. A hydrogen plant powered by a stable 11 kV electricity supply has been set up in Jind with a storage capacity of 3000 kilograms.
