India Overtakes China as Top Exporter of cotton products to the US in 2025

According to the recent results published by the United States Department of Agriculture, India has surpassed China as the leading exporter of cotton products to the US in 2025. Apparel, clothing, and household textiles are among the cotton items that make up the significant portion of the global textile trade. In the past year, 2025, the US imported close to 0.6 million tonnes of cotton products from India, while China’s exports saw a significant downfall to 0.5 million tonnes.
