Meghalaya get its first women Chief Justice

Justice Revathi Mohite has been appointed as the First Women Chief Justice of Meghalaya High Court, marking a landmark moment for the state’s Judiciary.

In a historic moment for the state’s Judiciary, Justice Revathi Mohite has been sworn in as the first woman Chief Justice of Meghalaya. The Oath taking ceremony happened in Shillong on January 10, 2026. The former chief justice Soumen Sen was transferred to Kerala High Court.
