Museveni Secures Seventh Term as President of Uganda

Uganda witnessed a highly anticipated presidential election as Yoweri Museveni regained his position for the seventh time. Uganda’s election commission declared that Museveni won 71.65% of the total votes cast, prolonging his rule that started in 1986. However, the results have caused widespread controversy as the opposing leader rejected the results, alleging fraud and calling for peaceful protests.
