Jenson Huang, chief executive officer of NVIDIA, has received the 2026 IEEE Medal of Honor for his immense contribution to Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) and accelerated computing.
On January 6, 2026, Jensen Huang, chief executive officer of NVIDIA, received the prestigious 2026 IEEE Medal of Honor, the highest award given by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). He was also honored with a USD 2 million cash prize, marking the second consecutive time IEEE has associated this achievement with a cash prize. The honor was given for his creative innovations in Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) and accelerated computing.
