JAIIB (Junior Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers) is a certification exam conducted by the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (IIBF) to help the banking professionals grow in their careers and achieve their dream positions. The examination is conducted twice a year for those employed at the clerical and officer levels, offering them a huge opportunity to advance in both personal and professional careers within the industry. Apart from enhancing the experience and career advancements, having a JAIIB certificate also increases the chances for salary increments in the banking sector. 

The JAIIB examination is conducted with the aim of providing essential knowledge to banking professionals in various areas, including financial management, banking technology, basic accountancy, and customer service. The application window of the JAIIB 2025 has already passed, with the last date for the registration being on 2nd March 2025. Candidates who successfully completed the registration process will be able to appear for the examination, which is scheduled to take place on 4th, 10th, 11th, and 18th May 2025. JAIIB 2025 Eligibility Criteria


The eligibility criteria in terms of age, educational qualification, and number of attempts are given below:


Age Limit: There is no specific age limit set for the candidates appearing for the JAIIB examination. All those employed in the banking sector are eligible to appear for the examination.


Employment Requirement: To be eligible for the JAIIB exam, candidates must be a member of the Indian Institute of Banking & Finance (IIBF). In addition to that, he/she should also be a working professional in the banking & financial sector. 


Educational Qualification: When applying for the JAIIB, candidates must have cleared the 12th exam in any stream. However, clerical or supervisory staff are permitted to sit on exams with the manager's recommendation, even if they have not cleared the 12th examination. 


Number of Attempts and Time Limit: There are five attempts available for the candidates to clear the JAIIB exam. Apart from that, a three-year time limit is also set from the first time of registration to clear the exams. If the candidate fails to crack the exams in either five attempts or 3 years, he/she should start from scratch again.


JAIIB 2025 Qualifying Criteria


  1. Candidates must score at least 50 out of 100 for each paper to qualify for the JAIIB.

  2. Candidates will still be declared as qualified if they achieve 45 marks in each subject with an aggregate of 50% marks in all subjects of the exam.

  3. Negative marking will not be available in the JAIIB exam.
